I really love this app, it also calculates tip before tax .. love the new interface ... greatly appreciated.
Very good app!, I like how it calculates tip b4 taxes too, very good. However the recent update keeps tax and tip the same percent, they can only br adjusted together, they should be able to be different as it could be on the older versions, therefore 2.0 form is better.
The only thing I want from this app, is a clearer sense of what "rounded" means.
When you split a $11 bill in 3, it gives you 11/3 for each person. But rounded would mean something like $4 each person and not $3.66.
Does the job, but would be better if tax and tip shown separately. User types in cheque amount then tax and tip displayed, with amount total and tip for each person. $100 bill with13% tax and 15% tip should show $128 total with $15 tip and $13 tax.
A lot of people complain about how this app handles tax. All I really need to know at the end of the day is how much it comes to...and with this app I know. Great job for a free app :).
You FOOLS! Taxes are supposed to be subtracted, the developers did it correctly. Heres the best kept secret for those who dont eat out more than twice a year (only for your birthday and Mothers Day I suppose?) - Thou shalt not pay tip on taxes!! This means, whenever you think about how much tip to put down, look at the amount BEFORE tax, not the grand total including tax. A $113 bill needs $15 in tip, not $16.95 (assuming 13% for taxes).
Some bad moments
Love this app prior to the update. Now, even though there is a space for tax, it has only one slot! There are 3 taxes here in Canada, provincial, GST and liquor. Most bills show those separately so cant just type in a tax total without having to manually add all 3!
Also, the tip is on a touch slide and hard to get the % you want. Same with # of people. Very cumbersome and no longer user friendly. Glad I didnt pay for it. Please try to fix!
Title says all, was an avid 5 star fan until you tried forcing ads in me, I would rather stare at the update badge on my app store all day then actually update this.
Im not updating for adware despite wanting to us my "install all updates" button. Change this please. And now dropped to 1 star and to be deleted soon.
You made a great app. You should make other apps so people know that they would be great too, and charge for those ones. Instead, you add ads after loyal downloaders. Will be deleting and not downloading from this developer anymore.
The app was great, then they snuck in AdWare. Now its cwap because of it. Now I every time I have any app updates, I check the "Whats new in this version" section and look at screenshots. I also keep the old copies of the app so if they try sneaking in crap again, I delete the app and restore the older copy and dont update anymore.
My husband warned me not to do the latest update because of the Ads. Whew! Is a great app though.
