I love this very useful program but the essential thing know when you pay by credit card and the total is divided between 2 or more persons, is to know the base price WITHOUT the tip This program only calculates the total amount with tip and the tip amount per person. You then have to manually subtract the tip amount from the total amount go properly fill in a credit card voucher! Is is quite common in most countries to be able to divide a check among several credit cards. In spite of the usefulness of this program, you still have to pull out your caculator, which defeats the purpose.

The UI on this app could be better, but it does the job once you get the hang of it. *A note for all those people with issues about the way this app handles the tax...the tax should be deducted from the total because you dont tip on the tax.

Very good app!, I like how it calculates tip b4 taxes too, very good. However the recent update keeps tax and tip the same percent, they can only br adjusted together, they should be able to be different as it could be on the older versions, therefore 2.0 form is better.

The only thing I want from this app, is a clearer sense of what "rounded" means. When you split a $11 bill in 3, it gives you 11/3 for each person. But rounded would mean something like $4 each person and not $3.66.

Does the job, but would be better if tax and tip shown separately. User types in cheque amount then tax and tip displayed, with amount total and tip for each person. $100 bill with13% tax and 15% tip should show $128 total with $15 tip and $13 tax.

A lot of people complain about how this app handles tax. All I really need to know at the end of the day is how much it comes to...and with this app I know. Great job for a free app :).

You FOOLS! Taxes are supposed to be subtracted, the developers did it correctly. Heres the best kept secret for those who dont eat out more than twice a year (only for your birthday and Mothers Day I suppose?) - Thou shalt not pay tip on taxes!! This means, whenever you think about how much tip to put down, look at the amount BEFORE tax, not the grand total including tax. A $113 bill needs $15 in tip, not $16.95 (assuming 13% for taxes).

Can we have an option for tax? Otherwise great app thus far!

This app is useful when youre out to eat with a group of people. You enter the amount of the bill (before or after taxes, as you prefer; I usually tip on the total including tax) on a keypad. Then you select the percentage you want to tip and the number of people in the party. CheckPlease then tells you both the total amount of the tip per person and the total each person should pay. You can choose to round up the tip or not. I think the interface is terrific--everything is on one screen. If youre considering this app, you should be aware that a lot of the earlier complaints (particularly about the including tax/not including tax debate) have been addressed in later versions.

Love this app prior to the update. Now, even though there is a space for tax, it has only one slot! There are 3 taxes here in Canada, provincial, GST and liquor. Most bills show those separately so cant just type in a tax total without having to manually add all 3! Also, the tip is on a touch slide and hard to get the % you want. Same with # of people. Very cumbersome and no longer user friendly. Glad I didnt pay for it. Please try to fix!

Title says all, was an avid 5 star fan until you tried forcing ads in me, I would rather stare at the update badge on my app store all day then actually update this.

Im not updating for adware despite wanting to us my "install all updates" button. Change this please. And now dropped to 1 star and to be deleted soon.

You made a great app. You should make other apps so people know that they would be great too, and charge for those ones. Instead, you add ads after loyal downloaders. Will be deleting and not downloading from this developer anymore.

The app was great, then they snuck in AdWare. Now its cwap because of it. Now I every time I have any app updates, I check the "Whats new in this version" section and look at screenshots. I also keep the old copies of the app so if they try sneaking in crap again, I delete the app and restore the older copy and dont update anymore.

My husband warned me not to do the latest update because of the Ads. Whew! Is a great app though.

I was on the fence with this app and was trying to choose between it and another app that does the same thing. I was kind of leaning towards this one because while the interface is a bit...well ugly, it was a tad easier to navigate than the other one. Its fate was sealed for me however when the update added ads. I see enough of those surfing the net, I dont need them on my iPhone as well and especially not after spending money on a meal. Sorry, but Im deleting this one.

This was my favourite tip calculator, but the developer made it ad-supported after the update.. Thanks for the free ride before the update! Ill move on to other tip calculator now..

Beware there is adware scrolling on the of your screen, very distracting! Ruined a great app.
