Heres the best kept secret for those who dont eat out more than twice a year (only for your birthday and Mothers Day I suppose?) - Thou shalt not pay tip on taxes!! This means, whenever you think about how much tip to put down, look at the amount BEFORE tax, not the grand total including tax. A $113 bill needs $15 in tip, not $16.95 (assuming 13% for taxes).
